LimeWire is a free multilingual P2P application, which is designed to help users around the world to download, upload, and share files via Gnutella and BitTorrent networks.
We can share our audio, video, image, documents, and even applications, anonymously. We can also share any type of files with our friends, browse what they have in their library folders, and chat with them. These private sharing, browsing, and chatting options can be made by signing in our Gmail, LiveJournal, or Jabber account within this program's GUI. We can view the progress of our downloads/uploads at any time. We are allowed to preview the files without waiting their download completion. Thus, we can stop their downloading and delete them if the content is not the one we expected. After the download is finished, we can listen to the music file using the built-in audio player.
"My Library" section is very convenient as it contains all the files that we want to share, and it provides easy and instant access to them. The new 5.3 version provides a much quicker file transfer without consuming too much memory resources. |
